day 124

I bought some of those kettle cooked chips at the store cause I thought no one else liked 'em. Wrong, wrong, wrong. I didn't walk yesterday but Katydidnt told me she would walk a mile with me today. I don't like walking alone when it's so hot. I like the fact someone else is sharing my misery. You know? We love company.

I may have been a little harsh on soup yesterday. I think it was the whole hunger destroying higher functions thing, less about soup. I still feel some left over violence, but I think the heat will probably zap that right outta me.

I am really disappointed in you. You were very hard on soup. How do you think soup feels when you speak of soup in such a way? It's hurtful, I tell you!

Soup knows what it did.

OK... soup can be a salty bastard, no doubt about it.
Maybe if you juggled cans of soup instead of eating it, you'd feel better...plus you'd be armed if anyone tried to steal your kettle chips.
I'd walk with you guys...after dark. We'd have strength in numbers & avoid the pounding sun...trail in the hood is an even one mile around.

Best. Idea. Ever. Those kettle chip stealers better watch out!

I hate summer sometimes, it makes me say horrible cliches like, "it's a scorcher out there".

Walking in the Dark!

The cliches continue...

'Hot as blue days'?
'You could fry an egg..'

But why eggs? why not bacon? Bacon makes everything better! eggs are always getting beat up!

You lost me after you started talking about bacon. Mmmmmmm. Bacon.

It's a biological compulsion for people to talk about the weather. So obviously we have to rack up some cliches, or how else would be able to stand that awkward time between buying a coke and hightailing it out of gas stations?

(Side note, I have also found talking to cashiers about christmas music during the holiday season is an awesome ice breaker. Me:You tired of all that Christmas music yet?
Cashier: Oh God yes!
Awkwardness diffused.)

p.s. cooking eggs on the side walk isn't all that fun, and takes forever.

Lol...after leaving last comment, I sent tim to the store to fetch bacon! I don't care idf we are talking about black eyes, potatoes. green beans or breakfast...bacon makes everything better!
Ok...so we'll arm ourselves with cans of soup & go walking, right?
I'm ready ... got my Cream of Mushroom waiting!
